It depends! :) Wonderful answer isn't it? lol Well, it depends on the kind of yarn you used, how big it is, how complex the stitches/designs are and if you're willing to price them at their worth.
For example, an afghan knit from a very soft wool, is going to sell for more than one made of acrylic. (But your costs will be higher) The bigger it is, the more you can sell it for, unless it's a baby blanket made with complex stitches, such as lace or aran knitting. And you can still get a pretty good price for those.
Don't be afraid to price it for what it's worth. Look in the specialty stores to see what similar pieces cost. Charge a little less then them, you don't have their overhead.
Participate in juried shows, or the best shows only, not shows that allow a lot of imported reseller crap. They will drag down the prices of all the hand made things.

Most of them will post in the local newspaper, which often has an online entertainment listing. Some will only be local to the neighborhood, and will advertise by flier or to church/club members only. One good source is your local craft supplier, such as the bead shops, the hobby shops, and the fabric shops. You can usually finds lists of arts & crafts shows by typing "Arts and Crafts shows + (your town)" in your search box. There are probably many local clubs that specialize in different crafts, and you can often find them by doing a standard websearch, such as "arts and crafts clubs + (name of town)"
