DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG REGULAR ASPIRIN. Your dog can have BABY ASPIRIN, not adult aspirin, not Tylenol, not Advil, not Aleve or any generic form of these. I give my 10 lb dogs 1/2 a baby aspirin when needed (which has been prescribed by my vet initially). That is not to say that for every 10 lbs you should give a 1/2 a tab, you need to call your vet and ask dosage, there is not charge for that type of call with my vet so it really shouldn't be a problem for you. Please don't self medicate your dog. If there is something wrong with the dog then go to the vets. If the vet prescribes a certain medication for your dog that you can get at a drug store, then don't buy it at the vets. Go into the drug store and ask the pharmacist how much you would give for a 22 lb. dog. Many people do this because the drug store is cheaper for meds than the vets (in most cases) and pharmacist will treat your dog like a 22 lb. child. Absolutely! if you think there is something wrong with your dog take him/her to the vets.
None - aspirin (and all other human pain medications like Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, Motrin, ibuprofen, acetominophen, etc.) are toxic to dogs. You can cause a fatal stomach ulcer with these drugs.
If you believe your dog would benefit from pain medication, you should make an appointment with your veterinarian. There are safe and relatively cheap medications available, but you need a veterinary prescription to get them.
ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!! Aspirin is TOXIC to dogs. If you think your dog needs aspirin, your dog needs a trip to the veterinarian. Good for you for asking! This shows you are a responsible and loving dog steward.

Aspirin is only for people. Giving it to a dog, no matter what size, will make it very sick. Aspirin is an effective medication for dogs when administered in the proper form and dosage. Aspirin is used to treat pain, reduce inflammation, reduce fever, as well as for its antiplatelet properties in many species, including dogs. There are different formulations of aspirin: tablets, capsules, liquid and powder. Aspirin can cause irritation of the stomach and intestines. To minimize the chance of irritation, aspirin should be given with food. You should always consult a veterinarian before giving aspirin to your animal to get the proper dosage and formulation. Your veterinarian will likely follow this conservative rule of thumb: for every 12 hours give 10mg aspirin per kgof your dog's weight (or use 5mg per pound). A 100 pound dog would get 500mg every 12 hours.
You shouldn't give animals any over the counter medications. You should talk to your vet and see what medications you can get.
none could result deadly
Baby aspiring can be given to dogs every 8 to 12 hours. Do not give your dog baby aspirin without consulting your veterinarian.
Yes, yes it is. How much aspirin a dog can have depends on it's size and weight! If you are doubt about how much aspirin to give your dog, call your vet's office and ask them. Regular strength buffered or baby aspirins should be used, not "safety coated" aspirin. Always give aspirin with food, to help avoid an upset stomach. If the dog starts to vomit, stop giving it aspirin. Aspirin has blood thinning properties, so it can be dangerous in some dogs. For long term pain relief there are safer veterinary-specific alternatives.
Yes, but check with your veterinarian first to determine how much to give, or if aspirin is appropriate. Do not give your dog aspirin meant for humans. Specially prepared aspirin for dogs is available in pet stores. Coated aspirin may be acceptable, but check with your vet first. Your vet may also be able to prescribe other painkillers that are more effective for dogs. Do not give aspirin to your dog if it is taking any sort of n-said medication. See your vet for details.
it does if you are allergic. otherwise lowers inflammation from sun or acne.

No - dogs should never be given human pain medications (Tylenol, aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, etc.). Dogs are very sensitive to the side effects, which can be fatal. If you believe your dog would benefit from pain medication, you will need to make an appointment with your veterinarian for an examination. There are safe pain medications available for dogs, but you need a veterinary prescription to get them.
