In my opinion they are the BEST BAND EVER!
Here's a few facts:
1) Casting Crowns is one of the fastest selling, platinum-reaching Christian artists in history. Casting Crowns also won a Grammy for Lifesong.
2) Casting Crowns are one of the ONLY American bands in the U.S. that North Korea invited to play some concerts at an international festival held there. (Crowns has played in the festival twice so far.) The only other band invited is also a Contemporary Christian band named the Annie Moses Band.
3) Casting Crowns is a Contemporary Christian 7-member band/group whose genre is soft-rock.
4) All their songs have great meanings, most of which get you thinking. The types of songs Mark Hall writes are about everyday people (everyone) and all the real-life situations everyone goes through. Their songs are also about the Christian life and how we try to get the things we have in our heads, into our hands and feet.
5) The 7-members are: Mark Hall, Melodee DeVevo, Juan DeVevo, Chris Huffman, Hector Cervantes, Megan Garrett and Brian Scoggin (was Andy Williams).
6) The band has a husband and a wife team, Juan and Melodee DeVevo, who have 2 kids, Jesse and Rory.
7) All 7-members are married and all have kids. Also, they are all youth pastors and/or work with the youth.
8) They're friends with SCC (Steven Curtis Chapman); SCC is one of the people who "discovered" Crowns. In 2003, their first tour was with SCC.
9) Their 2010 Spring Until The Whole World Hears Tour is with Caleb, Kutless and Tenth Avenue North.
10) They have 4 Music Videos: American Dream (Self-titled album), Does Anybody Hear Her (Lifesong), Slow Fade (The Altar And The Door) and Until the Whole World Hears (Until the Whole World Hears).
11) Their 3rd studio album, The Altar and the Door, debuted at #2 on the billboard 200 selling over 129,000 copies in its first week. In addition, Casting Crowns is the only artist in the Billboard 200's Top 5 to demonstrate an upward sales trend from its last release.

I don't know exact (millions probably), but I do know they make a lot between the concerts they do, the millions of records they sell, as well as the money all seven members make from being all youth pastors too. Actually, the members of Casting Crowns make their main job/ priority as being youth pastors. Casting Crowns is just really their like side-job! Isn't that incredible? I think so...GREAT BAND and so real!
