As many times as they want or need!

The Quran gives answers to all problems that humanity has. So if someone has a problem, he may use the Quran to find an answer to it.

Muslims recite the Quran as a form of prayer. In the daily 5 times prayer, it is obligatory to recite verses from the Quran.

Also, Muslims recite the Quran to increase their rewards from Allah. Reciting even a single letter of the Quran carries 10 rewards, which will be added to the person's record of good deeds. On the day Judgment, we shall all be judged according to our deeds. If our good deeds are more than the bad ones, we will go to the paradise, per God will and mercy. If the bad deeds are more than the good ones, we will be pushed to Hell, unless God grants us His Mercy and forgives us and accepts us in His paradise. So every single good deed counts. And reciting the Quran is the simplest way to increase the number of good deeds!

Those who memorize the Quran have great great rewards that we cannot even dream of.

Moreover, the recitation of the Quran gives a unique form of peace. It is a wonderful emotional experience. So whenever Muslims want some inner peace , they use the Quran.

Reading Quran helps us to improve our morals and conduct and guides us to the righteous path.

A great deal of people read the Quran , as there is a huge Muslim population in the world.

A comprehensive 2009 demographic study of 232 countries and territories reported that 23% of the global population or 1.57 billion people are Muslims. Of those, 87-90% are Sunni and 10-13% are Shi'a, with a small minority belonging to other sects. Approximately 50 countries are Muslim-majority, and Arabs account for around 20% of all Muslims worldwide.

Although the Arab world is often regarded as the heartland of Islam, the majority of Muslims live in Asia and Africa. Approximately 62% of the world's Muslims live in Asia, with over 683 million adherents in Indonesia, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. In the Middle East, non-Arab countries such as Turkey and Iran are the largest Muslim-majority countries; in Africa, Egypt and Nigeria have the most populous Muslim communities. According to a recent study in the United States, the People's Republic of China has the eighth highest Muslim population with up to 65.3 million indviduals but other figures show only 20 million. Islam is the second largest religion after Christianity in many European countries, and is slowly catching up to that status in the Americas and Australia.

"The frequency of reading Quran as well as the duration for each time of reading the Quran vary widely among Muslims according to their capacity and off-work available time. No specific compulsory time is required per religion for reading Quran. However, the wide majority of Muslims read or listen to Quran daily."

I don't know where this person is referring from - in his mind it's a general answer I guess and so I would do too but saying that Muslims today read the Quran daily is a major overstatement.

90% of Muslims are non-Arabs, hence they have to be willing to read a translated version of the Qur'an when they do. Otherwise, alot of Muslims just consider it enough to read the Quran in Arabic for its' due reward.

Many may listen to the Quran the way people listen to music; in the car, at home and so on. The Qur'an is recited in a very beautiful manner and so it's very nice to listen to, however...again few people bother to listen to it with translation to learn it's meaning.

The real question should be: How often do Muslims"study" the Quran?

And the answer to this is sadly very unsatisfactory in today's world. Just like with the Christians and Jews today; only a fraction of Muslims take out the time and willpower to study the Qur'an on a regular basis.

I may sound pessimistic but it is one reality because if most Muslims studied the Quran daily, throughout the world then the Muslim world wouldn't have the socialissues that they do. Many of these issues which can be resolved through implementing ethical changes - changes based on Islamic principles which are found within the Qur'an.

If I may add and comment on the earlier written answers. The first statement written at the top is correct. The person that wrote above me...reading and studying the Qur'an are two totally different things. Ex:) It's like you saying that reading Harry Potter is the same as studying Harry Potter.

Studying the Qur'an is analyzing every word, every meaning, and figuring out the secrets hidden in it. Since not everyone speaks the Arabic language, the language of the Quran, they read the translations along with following the Arabic version to understand it. Most Muslims read the Quran daily other (usually Arabs study the Quran daily too. Studying the Quran includes memorizing it.

well it depends the quran wasnt written by a human being it was passed down by God to Prophet Muhammad who gave it to us.....none of the words have ever changed and they will never change

To improve the above answer I will say this: The Ko'ran, through the angel Gabriel, was related to the prophet Mohammed, who in turn related the message to the people. It was at a later date that the caliphas had a compilation of the surahs (books/chapters) commissioned. As far as how many, I do not know. The Ko'ran has been successively copied and passed down the generations.

The Qur'an is the last heavenly book revealed to the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). His followers are called Muslims. It is the Muslims who recite it. However, anybody who can read Arabic may read it.
