Lol, sorry, it's kind of funny when people assume the lava covers the entire island. Nobody has been killed because of the volcano under Eyjafjallajokull, but a few hundred people have died in recorded history cause of Icelandic volcanoes.

∙ 14y agoThere are no deaths caused by the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull, the volcano in Iceland that recently erupted.
However the toxic gases and ashes released by the volcano during its eruption may start to claim victims as this happened in the past.

Some farmers are struggling because they can't let their sheep and horses out to graze, but nobody has been injured.

∙ 13y agoThe volcano has not caused any injuries or deaths in Iceland. A few had to be evacuated from nearby farms because of possible floods (as the volcano is melting the glacier).
