10 million women, men, children suffer from Eating disorders every year in the US alone. 5-10% will die (3 people daily)..this isn't specific to Anorexia Nervosa however. Getting an exact number or even a good guess would be difficult since EDs are mostly kept secrets and autopsy only show the person died of say, cardiac arrest, not the eating disorder so its not written on the death certificate and all too often isn't reported. 500,000- 1 million is still alot of people that die from all eating disorders this isn't yearly however.
