You can't die from smoking too much pot, its impossible for a variety of reasons, primarily because the cannabinoid receptors reside primarily in the brain (amongst other loca…tions in the body) and opiate receptors reside in the brain stem- this controls respiration or breathing. Death will occur from an overdose of opiates in most cases for this reason, contrarily, marijuana does not have effects on respiration. Large amounts can be taken without serious adverse effects other than getting extremely high.
Approximately 1,379,400 people died in US hospitals in 2007, the most recent year for which statistics are available. This averages roughly 3,779.2 deaths per day . The mo…nths with the highest overall death rate are January, March and December; the month with the lowest death rate is September. July is considered a dangerous month for hospital admission because it's the beginning of the residency year for new doctors. According to the CDC's National Vital Statistics Report for 2007, total deaths from all causes that year was 2,420,000. A 2004 report estimated 57% of all deaths occurred in hospitals: 48% (1,161,600) died while admitted as in-patients, and another 9% (217,800) died in emergency rooms. The National Vital Statistics Report estimated approximately 90,000 (6.5%) in-hospital deaths per year from a combination of hospital-acquired infection and medical error, contradicting other sources' estimates ranging anywhere from 44,000 - 98,000 deaths (method of analysis unknown). The total number of patient discharges in 2007, excluding newborn infants, was approximately 34.4 million.

10 to 15 I've no idea which is correct, but I checked the site Avert.org - huge site dedicated to AIDS, with all sorts of info and all sorts of stats, and they have it at 4…0 a day. The site is http://www.avert.org/aids-statistics.htm - they claim to be the world's most popular AIDS site, n have stories, info on history and science, stats on everything you can imagine, question and help page, etc: basically anything you can think of related to AIDS info and stats, and they are a charity n take donations to help AIDS patients evidently. The following is copied/pasted from them: "Since 2000 the annual numbers of AIDS diagnoses have been relatively constant, with an estimated 37,041 in 2006. In total, an estimated 1,051,875 people have been diagnosed with AIDS in America. The death rate among people with AIDS has also remained relatively stable in recent years; there were an estimated 14,561 deaths in 2007. Since the beginning of the epidemic, an estimated 583,298 people with AIDS have died in the USA."
