An exact number is impossible to come by for the following reasons:

1.) thru the complete time of mlp starting in the 80s to present day is thousands that probably not even Hasbro itself still knows the number too

2.) other countries make stuff too, so you can't keep track of something that's worldwide like that.

3.) probably the biggest problem is that people make original stuff as well. Stuff that has been sold, or for personal use. And a big percentage of it probably only the creator and a few contacts like friends even know it exists in the first place.

But I feel in all, it's safe to say "a whole ton of it"

As of up to Friday, 16, 2013, there has been 65 episodes, and three seasons of My Little Pony- Friendship is Magic.

Season 4 will come out in the winter of 2013 and will run 26 episodes, bringing the total to 91.
