The hand held hair driers found in most homes are simple to use. They usually have two heat settings. high heat for drying and low heat for styling. The KW of a home depends on the amount of electrical equipment in the home. An electric utilization equipment such as an electric heater, air conditioner, water heater, stove …and/or dryer all add significant KW loads to a home. Things like refrigerators, freezers, forced air furnace also are major contributors. Lighting is usually less than most loads in a home unless you have some large wattage (500 to 1000 watt), fixtures. A range for a normal home can vary widely during a day between 1.0 kw to 15.0 kw. in a home that is mostly electric. There are a couple of was to calculate an estimate for your home's KW total. You can get an average by dividing the KWH on your electric bill by the total hours in that month's billing cycle. (24 X # of days) This an average not a peak, which what you are using when every thing is on at the same time. To figure peak, add up all the name plate amp rates of all your electrical equipment and multiply by their voltage. (usually 120 or 240 for residential) IE. If your refrigerator is listed as 12 amps and is 120 volts it will be using 1.44 kw.(1440 watts) If the wattage is listed no multiplying is necessary, just add it up.
The hairdryer usually use the electrical energy. When heated, thehairdryer will convert electrical energy to heat energy which canthen be used for hair drying.
In one meter distance the hairdryer can be 60 dBSPL. Never forget to tell the distance of the measuring microphone from the the hairdryer , because the closer you are to the t…he louder it is. The sound pressure level decreases by 6 dB per doubling of distance from the source to 1/2 (50 %) of the sound pressure initial value. The sound pressure decreases inversely as the distance increases with 1/r from the sound source.
It depends on the model, if the hair dryer is a 1500 watt hair dryer, then it uses 1500 watts on high heat. If the hair dryer is a 2000 watt hair dryer, then it uses 2000 w…atts on high heat. Hair dryers come in all different size wattage, so it depends on the size wattage of the dryer. Most hair dryers are 1500 watts.
There are many different kinds of radios. Here is a sampling: -- If it runs on batteries and fits in your pocket, it uses something like 0.00009 KW. -- If it's like a bo…om-box, runs on batteries and you carry it on your shoulder, then it uses maybe like 0.001 KW. -- If it plugs into the wall, sits beside your bed, and has a clock and CD player in it, then it uses maybe like 0.005 KW. -- If it takes up half of a wall in your living room, plays AM, FM, weather alerts and TV audio, and the speakers for it take up the rest of the wall, then it uses maybe 0.3 KW.
