There are 22 Main Categories on WikiAnswers.
We don't add categories every day. We usually add them once a week... but if you averaged out the amount per day, it might be about 1 or 2, depending on the week.
First, go onto the front page of WikiAnswers. Below the "New Questions" box, you will see a box with all of the major categories. Underneath "Technology" one of the subcategories will be computers. Click on that, and you have found the computer category.

No, categories and subcategories are based on need. If the site starts getting a lot of questions on a company (or any other subject), then a category will be added to help organize those questions.
On average, about two to three categories are requested every day on WikiAnswers. Categories are usually reviewed weekly by Community Assistants. See related questions for more information on requesting categories.
Click on the word "Wikianswers" at the top of this page and it leads to the front page of the site. The categories are listed there. At the bottom right side of the list are the words "More categories". That is one way to get to the categories. You can click on each one to find subcategories. The second way to get to the list of categories is to click on the words "Browse categories" under "Site tools" in the blue bar on the left of every page.

Browsing the CategoriesFirst of all, you must be signed in to be able to browse all the categories on the site.
