If none are spoiled or lost, and all fit exactly with no space between,

then you need 3,150 bricks.

One way:

8 inches = 2/3 ft

4 inches = 1/3 ft

Brick area = ( 2/3 x 1/3 ) = 2/9 square ft

(700)/(2/9) = (700 x 9/2) = 3,150 bricks

The other way:

1 square ft = 144 square inches

700 square feet = 100,800 square inches

Brick area = (8 x 4) = 32 square inches

100,800/32 = 3,150 bricks

One brick is 8.5 inches long a wall will be 34 feet long How many bricks are needed for each row?

multiply your total linear feet by 12 inches (1 foot), divide that number by the length of the brick and there is your answer.

How many bricks do you need to make a 24 foot circle if each brick is 12 inches long?

The circumference of a circle with a 24 foot radius is 2*pi*24 = 150.8 ft (approx) The length of each brick is 12 inches = 1 foot. So 151 bricks are needed.

How many 16x16 bricks will you need for a patio that is12 ft x 12ft?

81 bricks.12 feet times 12 inches per foot = 144 inches.144 inches divided by 16 inches per brick = 9 bricks in length/width.9 bricks (length) times 9 bricks (width) = 81 bricks.

How many bricks would you need if the area of a patio is 140 square feet and one brick is 8 inches by 16 inches?

About 14 bricks should do it.

How many 4 inche bricks are needed to build a walk 6ft wide and 24 feet long?

If a standard brick is 4 inches wide by 8 inches long, you'd need 648 of those bricks. Here's the way you'd calculate it: First, since your bricks are measured in inches, I'd convert your 6 foot by 24 foot measurements from feet to inches. Since there are 12 inches per foot, 6 x 12 = 72 inches and 24 x 12 = 288 Then you can calculate the total area you are going to be laying brick in (in inches), so multiply 72 x 288 = 20736 square inches The area of each of your bricks is 4 inches by 8 inches, so 8 x 4 = 32 square inches per brick If your total area you want to brick is 20736 square inches, and each brick is 32 square inches, just divide 20736 by 32... which gives you 648. :)

How many bricks would be required to edge a garden that is 37 feet long?

That would depend on the length of bricks that are used. Since the average brick is about seven inches long, I'll use that length to calculate how many bricks you will need. First, multiply the length of your garden by 12 to get the length in inches: 37 x 12 = 444 inches. Then divide the 444 by 7 (the length of the bricks) which will give you 63.43. So the number of bricks you will need (if they are 7 in long) will be 64. If the bricks are a different length, just use the same formula to calculate how many you will need, or post a message to me on my message board, and I will calculate it for you.

How many bricks equal a square foot?

Of course it depends on the size of the brick. But you can still do it by the following steps. 1. Let y = square inches of one brick (compute length X width). 2. # bricks = 144 / y ( the number of square inches in a sq. foot divided by size of a single brick) For example suppose a brick is 2 by 8, then y = 16. 144/16 = 9 so you'd have 9 bricks in a square foot. If you think about it, lay the 9 bricks side by side they'd cover an area that is 18 x 8 =144, the same number of inches in a 12 in x 12 in area. If you are going to use mortar between the bricks, remember to allow for that in your computation of the brick size..

How many 4 inches by 8 inches bricks are needed to build a wall 6 ft wide and 24 feet long?

There are 12 inches in one foot. Therefore the wall is 72 inches tall and 288 inches long. The area of that wall is 20, 736 inches squared. The area of one brick (4 inches X 8 inches) is 32 inches squared. The area of the wall divided by the area of one brick gives you the number of bricks need to make the wall (20736/36). The answer is 648. Therefore with a 4 by 8 inch brick you need 648 bricks to make a 6 by 24 feet wall.

How do you calculate bricks in cubic meter?

So you get the volume of one brick. Measure the length, width and height of one brick. Convert each to metres (/100 is you measured in centimetres). Now divide a cubic metre by the volume of 1 brick to get how many bricks would make a completely filled in cubic metre. Keep in mind, this method does not count any cement needed to secure the bricks

How many 4-inches by 8-ince bricks are needed to build a walk 6 ft wide and 24 feet long?

My guess is that you would need approximately 650 bricks. The math is as follows: 6 feet (72 inches) by 24 feet (288 inches) equals a total area of 20,736 inches. If your brick area is 4 x 8 inches (32 inches) you would need 648 bricks.
