How many Muslims live in the world and in which countries?
According to the 2009 Pew research center's study (American btw) the Muslim population currently stands at 23% of world population. Indonesia holds the largest population of Muslims but at 13% of all Muslims not 30%. 62% live in Asia, 35% in Africa and 2.5% live in Europe/N America. Top 5 countries to hold largest Muslim populations are. Indonesia,Pakistan,India,Bangladesh and Egypt. Muslims can be found in all countries although few live in south American countries.

There are roughly 1800 million Muslims in the world, and the percent of Sunni Muslims in the Islamic faith is roughly 85-90%. Thus, around 1500 million of the total 7000 milli…on people (1.5 out of 7 billion of the world population) is Sunni Muslim.

Accordingly, it is logic to have Muslims in many countries of the world and of many nationalities. . In addition, many non Muslims all over the world convert to Islam while staying in their homelands. . One more reason is the migration of some Muslims in poor Muslim countries to foreign countries to have better work opportunities or research provisions.
Hindu's reside in very many countries, especially since the world economy made it a smaller and close knit world. India, Nepal, Thailand, Guyana, Mauritius, Trinidad and Tobag…o, UAE,Suriname, Fiji are countries where the Hindu population accounts for about 20% of the population.
