Whenever a time is not given for a recipe it always requires careful watching. Normally cakes take between 15-30 to cook, all depending upon what cake it is, temperature it's baking at, and your altitude. Wait about ten minutes and then start checking it every five. To see if it's done the top should look set up. If it looks this way then place a knife in the middle. If it comes out clean, it's done. It it doesn't cook it a little longer.
