Contrary to popular belief, the first people to come to Ireland are thought to have come from Spain by boat and were not Celts.

Most of the people who came to Ireland before the Celts, from the Continent via Scotland, were Dene-Caucasians. This large language family was all over Europe before the Indo-Europeans arrived.
