You must consider 3 things, ( temperature--Humidity--and Air flow), For drying Gesso fast; Temp. above 70 degrees, Humidity below 70%, direct air flow toward canvas. you can experiment with speeding up drying time or slow down drying time altering these 3 things. Good-Luck

Primer should be allowed to dry for 48 hours. Some manufacturers may have a shorter drying time, usually this is noted on the container.
