Normally 24 hours it will stay in your system, but it can stay in the milk, until you pump and dump or up to 72 hours. It's best not to drink or in moderation, and always consult your doctor. Good Luck! www tinyike com

It depends on how many units you consumed. Your body will get rid of about one unit of alcohol per hour, so say you drank a whole bottle of wine with 9 units of alcohol in it, you should allow at least 9 hours for your body to rid itself of the poison.

Is very dangerous as the milk might contain toxins from alcohol which might harm the baby and it's development If you fancy a drink, wait till the alochol leaves your body completely before you breastfeed again. Even when you don't feel drunk, alcohol still might be in your body.

Doctors would not recommend to use alcohol at all during breastfeeding period.

The amount of time that alcohol stays in your breastmilk varies because everyone metabolizes alcohol at different rates. Metabolism depends on amount of alcohol consumed, food intake, etc. Over time your body will naturally metabolize the alcohol from your system but the only way to know for certain that the alcohol is gone is to test your breast milk. Breast milk can be tested with Milkscreen home test for alcohol in breast milk. www.milkscreen.com
