It's typically 15 minutes per pound.
But what I do each year is I prepare the turkey the night before with my special glaze of honey, Orange Juice and brown sugar.
First I separate the skin from the meat so I can put my rub of garlic, onion, salt, pepper and a tablespoon or two of Italian dressing.
I rub it into the meat under the skin, then I pour the orange juice/honey glaze on top of it, tightly wrap it up in foil, I then put in the the oven around midnight and cook it at about 150 degrees.
Cook it on it's stomach so the juices go right to the white meat. Then we're awaken by the delicious smell of the Turkey cooking. It's usually ready by 8am, the meat falls off the bones it's so tender and juicy.
MMMMMMMM MMMMMMMM Enjoy!
