As with all things, there is a huge variety. Some Saltwater Fish live only a year or two, whereas others such as the deepsea rockfish of the North Pacific, live over 100 years. If you are referring to saltwater fish in captivity, typically I would say they don't live very long because most people don't know how to care for them properly, but in good hands marine aquairum fish can live over 10 years.
