It completely depends on the pain medication and the dose taken. edit: most opiates are clear of your system with about 72 hours, but this is by no means an exact science here, it depends heavily on your metabolism as well. There are many factors that go into this.

For the drug to show up on a test, it should be less than a day. This also depends on how much of the drug you have taken. Not only how many pills and such, but how many mg's in each pill. Also depends on your weight, etc. -Someone who cares

An opiate will stay in your system for 3-4 days where you can fail a "drug test".

Normally 72 hours, but if u drink lots of water u can get it out in 24-48 hours, but I mean alot of water.
