At the time satellites have not became a major impact and the highlight of the Blackbirds carrer was during the Cuban Missile Crisis, of which it could be deployed to take updated pictures in a matter of hours. Its top speed of Mach 3 enables it to outrun any ground-to-air defenses and any aircraft that tried to intercept it

Yes they did, also alot more than aircraft technology as well, the german's had schematics for stealth, rocket and intercontinental missiles, they also had plans for a "flying saucer" which was built and tested, however, most of this technology was destroyed but the americans stole the plans and even bought in german scientists to work at groom lake nevada where the german's developed the V2, later developments were the F117 nighthawk and SR71 blackbird and the apollo space program, this all spawned from german advancements in missile, aircraft and weapon technology.
The Me262 and the Gloster meteor represented the major advance in air transport (military and civil). For one thing the speed of sound was being approached causing problems with propellers and wings on prop planes. On top of that it was possible to generate more power with jets. I cannot imagine an SR71 travelling at mach 3. Joke

The SR-71 Blackbird was introduced into service in 1966.
It is the Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird", a reconnaissance aircraft.
No it just flew very high to avoid radar.
About 3 times the speed of sound. (3 mach)
No it is an advanced, long range, Mach 3+ strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
