If you're talking about velocity, it would change drastically upon hitting the ground. Because it is a vector quantity, the number would be it's negative since the object moves backwards..
However, if you're talking about speed, the number would not change much upon hitting the ground. If drawn on graph, it would look like a wave that steeps down everytime it hits the maximum point and have the same minimum point; zero, a wave which gradually gets smaller over time.
they depend on how fast it cools down
In areas of steep slopes, the ground is slanted as simple as that. as such, when there's runoff water the water doesn't seep through the ground but rather flows along the ground at a certain speed which doesn't give it sufficient time to seep through the ground.. this doesn't mean it doesn't seep through at all because it does but it's doesn't drain deep into the ground as expected on flat grounds..
they use magnets so it doesn't hit the ground
Something done is a fast way, expodited.
it means to fly down fast like a bird and snatch somthing
Something that is hard and fast is a permanent, lasting thing -- "fast" in this sense means fastened down.
Big wave moving fast. People drowned. Buildings knocked down. Crops ruined.
The ball speeds up as it travels to the ground as gravity pulls it down to make it go fast.

I've found about 50 on flat ground but down hill at least 60
There is no penalty for knocking down a hurdle when attempting to jump over it. Although, I guess there is one penalty and that is the runner will not be as fast because of hitting the hurdle. But a runner will not be disqualified for knocking down a hurdle.
yes

would usually mean when a horse is running really fast, it's hooves are plunging (going down) to the ground rapidly.
If you are already running when you hit the ground, you are going to be moving really quickly. It means to start something off quickly and move fast on it.
when something is heated the particles are moving very fast and then has it cools down (and heat releases into the air) particles begin to slow down, which means theyre cooling down.
like about 50 per fast
