I work with owls that also get baby`s and we just feed mice and baby chickens, the mother owl tears it apart and feeds them. currently i`m taking care of a baby barn owl and i just cute mice or baby chicks into pieces and feed that and everything goes well. ofcourse in the wild they also get smaller food from their parenst but sometimes the owls just tear it apart for the baby. as far as i know at least!

it eats meatobviously try to feed it rats every 4 hours and if theyre too young do not play with them let them sleep. when you feed them wave the food side to side just like the mom does. try to feed it a little more at night and if you cant buy so many mice get worms or nonpoisonous insects (: owls dont drik water they get it from blood try to kill the mice right before you give it to your owl and goodluck ! not much care is needed the mom leaves them alone to hunt although theyre pretty quick at catching prey... i have one and its just fine it sleeps most of the day i give him birds actually baby ones i cut their head off because its the hardest part to digest

They sit on their eggs to keep them warm. Then when they hatch, they are healthy. They will also protect the nest from predators, such as cats, by swooping and clawing.
