Democracy is defined as a political government in which the governing power is derived from people directly(town hall meetings) or through a representative government(Senate,House, election of President). Democracy thrives better in an educated world because the people are less likely to engage in unnecessary warfare if they are not in agreement with the leadership. They will simply elect those in favor of their wishes to the Legislative and Executive Branches. Instead of engaging in violent demonstrations, the people are more likely to voice their opinion by writing newsletters etc.
