By advancing the clock one hour, the sun appears to set later in the evening. Of course, it also rises one hour later in the morning. The daylight "saved" in the morning is used in the evening. Supposedly, this saves energy, because people will not have to light candles, turn on electricity, or use other forms of illumination at night, or at least not as soon in the evening as otherwise. If this was ever true, it is insignificant today, because of the round-the-clock use of air conditioning and other forms of energy.

It doesn't.The thought that you get a better deal by using daylight savings time is that by cutting off the buttons of your blankets and sewing them to the tops you get longer blankets..

With daylight savings tome you have to get up in the darker part of the morning and turn on your lights to see and go to bed when it's still light out.

The farmers who are supposed to get more tine to work don't use clock time nut sun time and are up with the sun and to bed with it too so the clock time does not matter.
