Currently, Bluetooth in the iPhone only supports wireless headsets. Syncing with or connecting to other devices is not supported at this writing (March 2008).
because that's the world we live in man...where the man tries to bring you down ..downtown...where all your bluetooth hopes and dreams be dashed like a day old cherry pie on a tin back roof.
Now exist iBluenova app that can do that. (August 2010) But you have to do a jailbreak to the iPhone. Download by Cydia or Appstore.

iPhone bluetooth is only can compatible with the bluetooth headset, and can't connect to other iPhone.

∙ 12y ago"you just turn the bluetooth on on your phone and in your computer(top right corner), then go onto images on your phone, select a photo and tell it to send via bluetooth, select the computer you want to send it to(on your phone) and accept it on your computer!
Go to your System Preferences. Under Hardware, select Bluetooth. Set your mobile bluetooth to visible and enter pairing mode through your Mac and mobile simultaneously. Pair using a 4 digit code you've selected or 1234/0000. You should be all set!

Go down to General.
Then there should be a tab that says BlueTooth.
Click on it.
Then if it says off, slide to make it on.
After that, It should now be on.

∙ 12y agoPairing a bluetooth device (e.g. a hands-free ear piece) with the iPhone is trivial - the option is available in the iPhone's settings and easily found. Enable bluetooth under settings, and ensure that the bluetooth device is set to 'discoverable' or 'pairing' mode. Simply scan for devices from the iPhone via the bluetooth settings, select the one you wish to pair with, enter the shared key (PIN) as provided by the device manufacturer, and away you go.
Unfortunately, that is where it ends. Without hacking your iPhone (voiding the warranty and breaching the EULA), the iPhone is devoid of bluetooth file-transfer protocols (i.e. OBEX FTP), and so cannot perform phone-to-phone data transfers.

There is a small chance you have no enabled 3G. To do this follow these steps. Go to Settings > General > Network and Enable 3G should be set to on. Also your area may not have 3G capabilities. In this case there is no 3G signal for 3G to work. To check 3G coverage contact your provider. Also if your iPhone is a 1st Generation and not the iPhone 3G you do not have 3G capabilities.
How do you change the bluetooth settings on an iPhone 4?
If you aren't getting any internet access whatsoever, then you should make sure the iPhone has been activated with AT&T. If you are only getting a connection through "Edge" (the letter E will appear in the top bar), then you are either not in an area that has 3G available or it is simply disabled. To make sure you have 3G enabled, go to Settings > General > Network. If the "enable 3G" button is off, turn it on. If it IS on, but you aren't getting 3G coverage in places you normally do, I would contact AT&T.
