A healthy love is both friendship and love together. Sometimes it's tough to decipher which is which. If you have fun together, can talk about anything, trust each other and are loyal to one another and have a good sexual relationship you are one lucky woman! You not only have a great love, but a friendship. I often refer to my husband of 33 years as "my best friend" and he is. We stick together through thick or thin and it's a wonderful feeling. When those around you can let you down, the person you love is right there. The sooner some people can get over "great sex is everything" attitude and are smarter to realize that a love relationship takes more than that ... commitment, honesty, communication, etc., the better chance they have at a happy life. Put it this way ... someone can be great in bed, but they are a dud out in society and don't know the meaning of life. How long would most people put up with that? Not long! Take the time to sit with your boyfriend and talk about the things that bother you. The best way to find out anything is to ask him straight out if he considers you a friend or a girlfriend.
