by the presence or absence of breeding tubercles/stars, by the vent/anus shape, by the body shape, and by observing breeding behavior.
By venting.
Female goldfish are usually bigger than male goldfish.
i want to know how to tell a gender of a goldfish please tell me write back which goldfish is a male and which is a female?
Where their poop comes out. If it comes out horazontilly, it is a male. If it comes out straight, it is a female. Males are the most common.
The difference between a male goldfish and a female is that the female is usually bigger and in spring and the male gains a white pimple type substance on it's gill flap also the female is more of a gold color and the the male is a silver color.
There is very little sexual dimorphism between male and female goldfish. Male goldfish are generally more slender, because they lack ovaries. Female goldfish may have swollen abdomens. Unless you are a professional, it is not advised to breed goldfish at home, because they cannot lay their eggs due to selective breeding. The eggs must be squeezed out of the female, when they are ready.
There is no difference
yes check if the the fish has slightly darks tails the one with the darker one is the male and the other one is the male.
the difference beteen a male and a femal is at the breeding seson the femles ovals are larger then usal and in the breeding seson the male get white spots all around its fins these represent male
First of all a male goldfish would be chasing a female goldfish depending on the age. Now a female goldfish in view from above one side would be larger. Now a male golsfish in view from above would have more even sides. That is probably the easiest way to tell.
Male fish have claspers on their lower belly, so if the fish doesnt have these claspers, then it's a female. I dont know if it's the same with goldfish, but since they're fish, it probably is.
The male goldfish will get white spots on it's gill cover, and the female will start looking swollen because she has eggs inside her. Sadly though, most times when goldfish mate, they eat their eggs and you will get no young. If you try many times though it will probably work! Hope this helps!
No. The only way to tell the difference between male and female goldfish visually is to observe them when they are in breeding season/condition. At this time the male fish develop white spots on their gill plates and pectoral fins. The females simply get more chubby as they fill up with ova (eggs)
