I have a PowerShot S3, which is much better than Axyz models, but still is just a compact cam. The problem to be avoided is the noise (when not in the shiny daylight). So: - ISO has to be minimal (80, 100) - I don't like flash; so more exposure time needed, so: - avoid camera shake (or turn on stabilization, if available) [I never use "Auto" mode] put more questions on: http://www.photoblog.com/paulphotography

First of all, It depends on the model of your Canon Powershot camera. On a powershot A530, you simply press the upper left circle (on the back of your camera, then it asks you if you are sure you want to erase, or if you should decide not to, and to answer erase, use the left cursor on the big circle, and hit the button inside the big wheel (set) then that picture is erased. Hope I asnwered your question!

How many digital pictures will a Powershot S2-IS digital camera hold?

It depends on the quality you have the camera set at. At the Super Fine setting, each photo will be around 2mb. It comes with 16mb of storage, so you can take around 8 photos. Go down in photo quality and it will hold more. You can go to the Canon official site to get the full specifications.

I have a canon lens 105 mm and I was wondering what is the best canon lens for taking pictures of small gemstones. It should be sharp and very clear and clean.?

You don't say what model of camera, so I will suggest a set of automatic extension tubes with your 50mm 1.8 (assuming you have one).

Using a Canon Powershot for Great Pictures?

There is a belief out there that you need to spend thousands of dollars on a camera in order to get great pictures. While there are definitely limitations to the cameras that sit on the "lower end" of the consumer electronics market, the fact is that great pictures are more often defined by things like composition than pixels. After all, Ansel Adams took some of the most famous pictures ever taken, and he did it with the equivalent of a wooden box and flash paper. The way you take the picture is just as important as the type of camera you use.First, you should keep the "rule of 3rds" in mind whenever you take a photo. The rule basically states that pictures will look better if they are composed with the major subjects of the photo being placed in specific parts of the frame. More specifically, imagine a set of lines that broke the photo into three equal parts both horizontally and vertically. Then, make sure you align the subjects of your photograph along those lines. The great thing about cameras like the Canon Powershot is that they will generally come with a setting that will put those grid lines on the screen for you. This makes it much easier to take a great shot. Also, don't forget to make use of the scenes that your Canon Powershot comes loaded with. These scenes make it much easier to take a great picture, since they come with preset white balance, exposure, and f-stop settings that are customized for just about any situation. This is much easier and quicker than setting all of those parameters manually, and it can result in a much better shot every time you pull out your camera. The Canon Powershot is known specifically for its rich colors, and the responsive rate with which its color sensor shifts to suit changing light.Taking a great picture with a Canon Powershot is done in much the same way it is done with more expensive cameras. If you have an eye for composition and you can recognize good angles, then you are likely to get great shots.

How do you download pictures off a PowerShot?

Connect it to any computer with a USB cable (mini connection on the side of the camera) Power the camera and set it to 'display' pictures mode - that will turn it into a virtual hard drive that the computer should recognize - a window will pop up with folders in the camera. Open them to find your pics.
