I am pretty sure most Samsung phones running the most recent update have the same settings menu. You should be able to drag the notification menu down from any screen, then hit the gear near the top. If you scroll down in the settings, "Lock Screen" is immediately below "Location." Hit it and you can use the topmost selection to reset. You can change the type of password by clicking from a selection, or the same one from this list. You will have to put in the old password first, then put in the new password twice. Like I said, it should be the same.

To reset the phone lock on the Samsung Galaxy s2 go to the settings section and select password options. then select password reset and enter your current password followed the password you would like to change it to.

The phone lock on the Samsung GT-S3350 can be reset by opening the phone and going to options and then security. Set phone security will prompt one to enter a new code twice. Once this is done successfully, the new code is in place.
