How do you replace your watch battery?

I have a 93 SC2 DOHC. The battery is on the right side behind the fuse box. You need a metric set to undo the 3 screws. Theres one that attaches to the body, one to the bar that goes along the top, and theres one on the left side below the vacuum hose and air induction. After you've taken out those three, you should lift the whole thing out(battery and shroud) together. It's hard to take the shroud off before you lift the battery out. After that, you have to pry the shoud off the battery. The two terminals in the back make it hard. Then just go to any auto parts store and they'll give you a new one.

I take mine to Walmart and they replace it for free in the jewelry department. You have to buy the battery of course, but they replace it for free.

if this is not an option then do this

Pull winder out about 1 mm to disconnect battery

Take a sharp edged knife and locate blade in groove in watch back plate.

Twist blade to spring back off

Locate battery,a silver disc usually held in place by a lip in watch body.

Carefully lever out battery.( It should spring out) .

Note + sign on one side and replace with same polarity.

Note number on battery and get an equivalent Lithium or Silver Oxide replacement.

These are also identified by diameter and depth in mm. They are available on cards of different cells in pound or thrift shops.

Push battery in place ,it should be trapped by lip

Spring backplate back on watch noting orientation with groove.

Push winder in to switch on battery.

Set hands as normal.
