First make sure you have the right box. 99 Ram is the only one that will fit that year. Make sure tires are straight & steering wheel is in proper place On top of steering bow remove bolt & nut that connects the column to box. Take a pry bar or screwwdriver & pry column off the box (column has a slide collar that slides into itself) Under truck remove nut on pitman arm & use a pitman arm remover/puller to remove are. (rent puller at autozone) Remove 3 bolts that go thru frame that hold gear box. Good to have help here box is heavy. install in reverse order. If you have right tools & helper to hold bow will take about an hour Good luck
