you have to take off the front bumper the headlight and then the radiator once all of that is out take the serpentine belt off then remove the alternator then the ac unit will be free to come out. The only other way aroudn this is to dismantle part of the subframe to get to it. its one of the worst jobs to do to this car. Do not replace it with a cheap pump either. Pumps range from 180 to 500 for this car I bought a $250 dollar one and it died in a year. Spend the money and do it once.
