I have had this happen three times on my Jeep, so I've gotten pretty good at it. Bad thing is, is that it probably didn't fall off the track, the cable probably broke and you'll have to replace the whole regulator/motor assembly. No big deal, Autozone has the whole thing for about $80-$100. BUT!!! I would recommend removing the old one FIRST, then take it up there to compare. Make sure EVERYTHING (i.e. track, motor position, etc) looks identical before buying.
First start by taking off the door panel. There are three screws on the panel, one in the door hand pocket, one behind the door opener lever, and one underneath the black cap near the top. Once you remove these, carefully pop off the door panel. There should be a black tarp-like material covering the door. This is simply silicon'ed on, so carefully pull it off of the door. Doesn't matter what silicon stays on the door or the cover, it'll stick back together later on. There will several wire connections you'll have to remove and then metel rods connecting the door opener and the door lock. Remove these by swiveling the clasp until it unhooks and pulling directly up on the rod. Once your door panel is removed, remove the rubber weatherproofing strips that are against the door and window by lifting straight up and popping them off. Now to the interal parts.
First raise the window to the highest it can go and prop it up. There are two clamps that hold the window onto the track. Use needlenose plyers to unhook these. Now that your window is separated from the track, there are about 3-4 bolts that hold the track on the door and about 3 bolts that hold the motor on the door. Remove all of these. Once the motor and track are disconnected from the door, carefully slide it out through the largest hole in the door. Be patient, eventually it will come out. Once it's out, slide the new one in. Be carefull not to contact the glass. Line up the bolt holes and get a couple started to hold the assembly up. Pull all your wires through the appropriate holes. Replace remaining bolts and tighten. Reconnect your window to the track by lowering it down and popping the two metal pegs on the window back into place, replace the metal clips with needlenose plyers.
At this point I would reconnect the door's wiring to the motor's and test the windows. It it works, roll the window all the way up. Replace the tarp, door lever & lock rods to the door panel, wiring, weatherproof stripping, and finally door panel.
Good luck!
