Removal of the blend door using Ford OEM methods is a giant PITA and requires complete removal of the steering column, dash, evacuation of the coolant, etc. There is an easy shortcut method and hardware solution available from the guys at heatertreater.net. Lots of pictures and technical data to find and solve blend door problems.
There are usually only 1 blend door on a truck. This also goes for a 2005 Chevrolet Sliverado.

To replace a blend door on a 1999 Voyager, you will begin by checking which side of the vehicle is not receiving heat. Then, remove the glove box door by squeezing the inside of the door toward the center of the door to access the blend door.
Remove glove box liner. Blend door is located in the heater/evaporator housing. There are several kits available to repair blend door shafts as well as troubleshoot system.
