your winchester model 1300 shotgun was made by winchester between the years 1995-2006.
remove the buttplate screws, and the buttplate. In the large round hole in the stock is the stock bolt. That is unscrewed to remove the stock from the rifle.
Remove stock from shotgun
Remove the stock and you will see what is keeping the bolt from sliding out.
This will not fit a model 12

The model 5100 Stevens shotgun has a plastic stock
The most telling feature is the way that each fits there respective receiver tangs.The model 1897,and the Model 12 were different designs,thus the tang on each has different dimensions.
Simple as Pie. (or PI). Remove the buttplate screws and buttplate. Unscrew the buttstock Bolt, all the way, with a LONG screwdriver, remove the bolt and slide off the stock.
