If any of the bolt is left sticking out of the camshaft use a small pair of vice grips, if not, use a small hammer and pin punch to tap the bolt counterclockwise to get it moving and hopefully loose enough to remove with your fingers, if you end up resorting to drilling the bolt out make sure everything is covered so that no metal chips fall into the oil pan or anywhere else inside the engine. Those bolts only torque to about 30-35 ft/lbs (5/16 thread) and should not be bottomed out into the holes they thread into.
Sometimes you can use a cutoff wheel to slot the bolt and back it out with a screwdriver.
The timing chain and gears.
If you have a button about .005 to .oo8ths

the camshaft sensor is located above the harmonic balcance on the front of the engine block it is easiest to access this from under neath the car to replace , remove wire harness from sensor remove bolt that holds sensor in block remove sensor.this will pop out of block, may need a small screw driverto get it started replace with new sensor, the attaching bracket will only go on , one way replace bolt reattach wire plug you have now replaced cam sensor
Zora Arkus Duntov. That is where the old Duntov 30, 30, came from. It was a custom camshaft.
Camshaft sensor located between the cam shaft gears. Use small jack under oil pan with a block of wood to distribute weight. Remove spark plug cover, air cleaner assy. and small cover on timing belt cover. Remove motor mount cover and timing cover. Three upper cllips and two 10mm bolts...pull upwards and out. Remove smal bolt on sensor being careful not to drop it and pull on the wireing harness to remove senor.....Pretty easy.....
the easiest way is to drill it out. drill a hole thru center of broken bolt, make sure it is smaller then the diameter of the bolt. after drilling use a easy out to remove the threads of the bolt. check that the threads in the head are ok! then put in new bolt.
Lack of oil or it was damaged during installation. Was it pre-lubed before installing? If not, that is why it failed.
two in the front, three on each side, and three in the back, though one of these is a plug for the back of the camshaft.
You will need to remove the transmission.
remove accelerator cable assembly, two small mm bolts,+one bolt holds camshaft pickup, stuck in top drivers side of head
small sensor on front of cylinder head. connected under manifold, must remove manifold.
