Try focusing on your breathing for a few minutes. Take deep, slow breaths from your belly. Let your stomach rise and fall. So much of treating an anxiety attack when it's happening is distracting your mind. Additionally, you may or may not find homoeopathic remedies (you can usually find them at a health food/supplement store) helpful.

As a preventative measure, talk to your General Practitioner about treatments/medications and/or a referral to your local mental health branch.
