how to keep you Christmas tree moist?
water every 2-3 days and i also find unseeing a spray bottle to keep the leaves wet or at least damp dose some good for the (Christmas tree) or tree
If your tree has been cut at the trunk and quickly put in water to help keep it moist, it is not alive. At least, it is not alive in a way that you can sustain beyond the holidays. There is no way to replace the root system that you have cut away from the tree; however careful you are, the tree will dry up and die within a short time. Buy a tree that has its ball of roots intact, usually in a burlap wrapping or something similar. In other words, buy a tree that is intended to be planted in the ground. Keep it watered and cool. Plant it in the ground according to the instructions given to you when you buy the tree. Bottom line: You can't keep a tree alive when the first thing that happens to it is that it is killed.
keep it wet
It depends what type of tree... for a real tree, you need either a pot or a special stand. Don't forget to put a cloth or mat down under it, so the needles don't get all over the place. For a fake tree, it should come with a special stand and you just screw it in. Other than that, my best advice is to read the instructions!
Once any tree is cut down, it is going to dry out and die. The trick to keeping a Christmas tree as fresh as possible while it is in the home is to keep it watered. Once it is not getting water, it will dry out quicker.
Also, it does not hurt to cut a little off the trunk right before you pit it in the water.
water it on a daily basis, but dont over- water it for it will cause the tree to die.
If you want the tree to last all year, try planting the tree in some mulch.
If you give it water mixed with 7 Up or Ginger Ale, then the Christmas Tree should last longer.
Too start off with you water it twice a day for a week then you water it every few days mixed with a spoon of sugar brown sugar is best

In the hope that it will survive so that I can use it again next Christmas.
Well, a tree does produce enough oxygen for a person to stay alive. A small tree, only like, 4 ft. tall couldn't keep somebody alive for long. But a big, regular sized tree could keep somebody alive for a long time. 3-4 people actually.
It really depends.
