Simply by staying away from it,it picks up very little space so staying away from it is as easy as 123...........i have had an experience as a child when my older brother was threading water with me on his back,the suction started pulling him down,with him losing control and me not being able to swim,luckily his girl friend was around so she got a hold of me while he got some control.....so never go near to a suction,always stay clear and be aware if there is more than one suction holes.
Doesn't really sound like a question. But your swimming pool suction is determined by the size of your pump. There are other factors like the pipe distance and diameter, but it basically comes down to the size of your pump.
