Went to a bar the other day that let people up on stage who brought their instruments. We played Bad to the Bone with me on my alto. I only played the repetative series of five notes so I'm not sure if that's what you're wanting but it's worth a shot. You should know what part of the song I'm talking about after you play the notes together. The notes are(all of them without the octive and are natural): E A E G E Hope that's what you're wanting. =]

I am about 90% sure this is right the main riff is b flat, b flat, e, b flat, d, b flat. If that doesn't sound right then go a half step or a whole step up and down on each of the notes. Have fun

There are a lot of ways you can learn to play low b flat:

1. If you are a beginning player, its not going to come easy, try choking up on your mouth piece.

2. You might be playing on to hard a read, experiment with different hardnesses.

3. sometimes your just not putting enough air through the horn, and make sure to relax and let it flow.

4. instead of low b flat.. try low c.. or the lowest note you can play, and play long tones, and gradually slur down.

5. you might have a leak, if you can play well all down to one note, you may want to get help

6. most importantly, don't give up!

There are two main ways to play it. One is the 1-1 way which is the first pearl (the one used to play a normal B) and the 4th pearl ( the first on the bottom set of three). The other way is to play an A (first 2 pearls) and the last of the bottom set of side keys.
