How do you make yourself stand out from the other candidates for a job?

Do what other applicants rarely do:
- Go on and on about yourself. Don't feel as if you're being conceited. This is your time to really brag on yourself. DO IT!
- Research the company. This will ALWAYS impress an interviewer.
- At the end of the interview, TELL them you want the job. Sounds simple, but how many people actually do this?
- Ask for a business card in case you have other questions (this will also give you their contact info -- see next point).
- Send a thank you letter the day of or the day after the interview. Thank them for their time and tell them how very much you are interested in the position. Thank them again, sign your name and mail the letter!

∙ 10y agoYou don't need to follow trends. Start your own trends. Wear all of the stuff nobody wears, like those concert t-shirts, funky bracelets and scarves! Say things that nobody else says, and have fun!
Just dress how you feel; have fun; do something that no one else would ever think of but that does not mean to go somewhere naked or anything.
Also, take an interest in other people - such as asking them about themselves, and talk less about yourself, while doing this, look people in the eye-it shows true interest be kind and polite, and its scientifically proven that people's feel-good hormones elevate at the sound of their name, so make it a point to remember people's names and call them by their name.
Lastly, always be unique. That's the main think that will make you stand out.

Well, we all have different things that make us stand out. We have talents and interests and personalities that make us unique. Your sense of humor is sometimes something that can make you stand out. If you are really good at reading, or poetry, or writing, or math, or art... painting, or whatever... if you collect something. If you have a favorite animal or favorite color. Usually the things that make us different than other people make us stand out. So, if you are a 6 year old girl and your favorite color is NOT pink, and you dress up like a vampire instead of a princess for halloween... that would make you stand out from the other 6 year olds, right? The same thing happens when you get older... you start figuring out things that you like... a type of music, favorite movies and books, and things like that. And you'll latch on to some things, and other people will latch on to other things, and different activities will make us happy. Maybe you like rollerblading and I like sitting in the grass and reading a book while you rollerblade. ... those kinds of things make us stand out. Often, especially in a business setting, confidence can help us stand out... if we are confident with who we are and what we can do... or at least if we act confident, because no one is 100% confident. :) And just telling people things about your life, that you've done... no one else has had those same experiences, so that makes you different as well.

You can't other people to be mature because you have to worry about yourself first, then if you can try to make your mate,brother,or sister to be mature.Also to get someone else to be mature yo have to be patient for little while then you can get that person to be mature.
