The "accented" n (ń) is a special character that you can create in various Unicode or ASCII formats, or copy from the Character Map (Unicode 0144).
The "tilde N" (lowercase or uppercase) can be typed using the ALT+ codes.
Hold down the ALT key and type 4 numbers:
ALT 0241 = ñ
ALT 0209 = Ñ
Hold down the Alt key and type 161 (and then let go) to get í and type 0205 to get Í . Search ASCII codes to get all kinds of symbols using the ALT key, such as ☺☻♥♦♣♠ (Alt 1,2,3,4,5,6...) and so on.
You could also hold down Alt Gr (on the right of the space bar) and then press the vowel that you want the accent on éáíóú :)
on the computer? it's alt+164
there is no accent over o its over n its ñ
the accent mark over the n in spanish is pronunced 'enyeh'. It is called the virgulilla. It is often said that it is a tilde but it is not. The tilde is on an e, i, o, u, and a.
If you are using a PC, you will need to go to Insert > Symbol > and then select the "n."If you are using a Mac, you will need to press "alt + e" and then click N.
In English it doesn't. In Spanish it has a symbol over the n, like this: España.
Se~nor. The tilde accent mark actually goes over the letter "n," not between the "e" and the "n."
Accent mark The wavy line (making 'n' into 'nyuh') is called a 'tilde'
If a grave ends in a vowel or n or s it does not carry a written accent. If a grave ends in a consonant other than n or s it carries a written accent mark. The most of the spanish words are graves.
i take spanish class so you can trust me on this: door = puerta bathroom = bano with an accent mark over the n door in the bathroom would be: puerta en el bano( accent mark over n_
No. If the accent is on the second-to-last syllable, and the word ends in a vowel, n or s, then no accent is needed.
(´) above vowels, following certain spelling rules(¨) above "u" to show it must be pronounced as in "vergüenza"(~) above letter "n", pronounced "eñe", to make difference among words, for instance: "cano", distinct to "caño"
The squiggly thing on the n means to make a 'nyay' sound, and the mark on vowels means to accent the letter.
You practice over and over again
