A safe mosquito traps involves an empty, uncapped 2-liter plastic soda bottle. Cut just below the point where the neck of the bottle straightens out onto the body of the bottle to create a cylinder and a funnel. Fit the funnel snugly into the cylinder. Fill about 1/3 of the cylinder with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of dry yeast, 1/3 cup of honey (or sugar) and warm water. Wrap a piece of black paper around this to make a nice warm comfy place for mosquitoes to hide. The trap works by creating carbon dioxide with the honey (or sugar) and yeast mixture. The escaping gas makes the mosquitoes fly into the trap, get stuck on the sweet-coated sides and wear themselves out trying to find an exit. Change the mixture about every two weeks or so.
A simple trap to attract meat-eating insects like wasps can be made by cutting the top third off of a plastic 2-liter bottle and inverting it inside the lower two-thirds to form a funnel. Bait it with a piece of lunch meat (or raw hamburger, meaty dog treat, etc.) and add about an inch of liquid. The bait will lure them in and they won't be able to find their way out before they drown.
Good luck!
even though there are several ways,
a popular way is
1.cut a bottle of soda a little above half way
2.put the half with the lid inside the bigger half
3.pour sugar water through the lid
4.add yeast (and crushed plant leaves if you want)
5.put in a dark and warm place
takes up to a month to take effect and seriously harms the breeding population in two or three, you have to change it twice a month
How it works
mosquitoes are attracted to to heat, carbon dioxide (which the yeast produces) and plant matter, since mammals produce most, when female mosquitoes go towards it, (female mosquitoes need to drink blood for two weeks each month since they need protein to give birth, and they breed once a month) they get stuck in the sugar and die. since they die with their babies, and only males and some female mosquitoes survive, the breeding population is seriously harmed every month
1. get a clean jar.
2. dig a hole the size of the jar.
3. put the jar in the hole.
4. put some bait in the jar.
5. leave until next morning and hopefully you have some bugs.
i need help on how to catch a dragonfly
reed + bug = Dragonfly
reed + bug = Dragonfly
Both the butterfly and the dragonfly are insects, but the dragonfly is larger.
Be specific. How to make a trap for what.
Dragonfly larvas eat other bugs wich make 'em carnivores
bug + reed
Dragonfly larvas eat other bugs wich make 'em carnivores
it doenst. The dragonfly only lives like a week, so it doesnt need a home
Shrimp + vampire
You have to be quick and hold them tight. Don't let go, they will give you their gold if you make them. You can make your own trap, or use the trap off of the game Mouse Trap.
The trap is set.
Dragonflys make nests in treetops and inside hollyberry bushes
