Only supervisors can 'lock' questions so the answer cannot be changed or edited. It's a tool that's usually implemented when a perfectly good or detailed answer is being vandalised by successive contributors.
It doesn't matter what computer you are on when you are on WikiAnswers - you cannot make asked questions go away on WikiAnswers. The question you asked will stay permanently on WikiAnswers, and can only be removed by a Supervisor. If your question is innapropriate, does not have enough info to answer, etc., it will be removed from WikiAnswers. However, if it is a legitimate question, it will not be removed from WikiAnswers. Contact a Supervisor if you wish to have a question removed.
This was a question on Wikianswers so you have learned how easy it is. If you had spelled Wikianswers correctly it might have even matched a question asked previously
No, you cannot make a free website using WikiAnswers. WikiAnswers is a question and answer site, not a website designer. You can ask a question how to make a free website, though, and you could get a good answer.
WikiAnswers is a community, a wiki. Wikis are open formats that permit members to make changes over time. As a member, you may see the need for a question for which you have the answer.
You cannot delete your question on WikiAnswers. As long as it isn't against the rules on WikiAnswers, your question will stay. Even if you did make an error, as long as it is legitimate, it will stay. However, you can consult a supervisor about getting rid of a question if you do not want it to be on WikiAnswers.
No. WikiAnswers does not currently support graphics or images.
WikiAnswers questions do have dates. The exact time that a question was submitted (and any other action taken, such as an answer or edit) is listed on the question's "History of Changes" page. See the blue tab at left. We don't make a big deal out of the dates because we think questions are timeless. Although the person who originally asked a question wants an answer ASAP, WikiAnswers is about growing questions and answers into permanent resources that will help thousands of people in the future.
There are a number of things on WikiAnswers that can be edited.Editing Answers:Click wither orange "Improve" links in the answer area, or the "Improve answer" in the blue menu area to the left. Make your changes. If minor edits such as punctuation or spelling corrections are made, do not click the minor changes check box on the right of the editing page. If adding to or making dramatic changes to existing answers, click to remove the check mark from the minor changes box.Editing Questions:If the question has not been answered, any member may edit the question. This is in fact encouraged in the case of typos, text-speak, or the use of numbers instead of words or other deviations from WikiAnswers Style Rules. Simply click the check mark at the end of the unanswered question. If the question is answered, only supervisors may edit the question. Regular members would need to flag the question, or to notify a supervisor directly by message or email.
