How do you make a homemade teddy bear?

#1-you don't have to make them. there's a store called "build-a-bear workshop" they have every type of clothing for your bear. they have skirts and shorts and dresses and tuxedos and shirts and workout clothes and pj's for your bear. I'm sure whatever you can think of they have.#2- This isn't how to make them but a logical argument on #1's input, 1, What if your teddy doesn't fit in the build-a-bear workshop cloths,2, I know this because i have a teddy that is 2 inches tall and an inch wide, so please only listen to the other one if your teddy fits those clothes and build-a-bear workshop clothes are soooo expensive!

Materials:

OLD denim

White fabric

Brown fabric

Red & Black sharpie markers

Lots of thread

Sewing needle OR sewing machine

Scissors

Baby Shoes

(Optional) a wig.

1. The first thing you want to do is get a good teddy bear template, I suggest something from Google or, another site.

2. Paste the pattern to Microsoft Word and print out the template.

3. Cut the exact shape (w/scissors) out.

4. Take out the teddy bear and trace around it on some fabric.

5. Sew the 2 pieces of fabric together. Start a knot and get going! :D

6. Hint(Half your fabric so it will be doubled when tracing)

7. Leave a little space so you can put polyester stuffing inside of your bear.

8. End a knot and turn your bear inside out.

9. Stuff your bear with polyester stuffing.

10. Sew the rest of your bear together.

11. By using a permanent marker, (black sharpie), you can create some eyes, a mouth an a nose for your bear.

***Making The Clothes***

1. You can start out by taking white fabric to make the "I <3 NYC" t-shirt for your bear.

2. Trace the part of the bear's torso you want the shirt to be onto the white fabric.

3. Hint(Make sure you draw a neck for your bear shirt! :D)

4. Sew the two sides together completely(except for the arm and neck holes)

5. With a red & black sharpie, write I in black, <3 (heart) in red, and NYC in black.

*Bottom Region*

1. The pants are important. We'll be making blue denim jeans.

2. Take old blue denim you have.

3. Double it and trace your teddy bear's pants part.

4. Sew the 2 sides together and turn it inside out.

5. Hint(make sure you don't sew the waist hole and the leg holes.)

*Shoes*

6. Go to target OR Walmart or something and get small baby shoes that have a snug fit on your teddy bear.

7. Buy the shoes and put them on your teddy bear. :D It's just that easy.

Hint(you might want to get a small wig for your teddy bear too.)
