That doesn't sound entirely safe (or more importantly healthy). Its reccomended that no more than 1-2 pounds are lost per week, so seven times that seems unfeasible and dangerous. One pound is equal to 3500 calories. So by burning calories you shed some pounds. Your body also needs calorie intake to function, which is recommended at 2500 for men, and 2000 for women (depending on your source). To reduce your calorie intake is suggested by a maximum of 1000 calories. So your body will still have something to run on. If it is too much less than this then your body goes into starvation mode clinging to every calorie its got, so you won't lose anything.
I find time and budget as an issue, so walking is my thing. Weighing 225 pounds means you can burn about 500 to 600 calories by just walking around for 2 hours...that can be going for a stroll through the park or going for some retail therapy. Now, if you were to do that once a day for a week, you'd only just burn through that 3500 calories for that one pound in that week. Assuming you've been eating relatively healthily that is.
If you were to go for more rigorous exercise and step up to the losing 2 pounds a week (or potentially a bit more...even though its ill advised), you'd still be looking at 7 weeks. I would advise setting a realistic (but challenging) goal of losing that 15 pounds in 2-3 months through healthy eating and good old fashioned exercise.
A healthy diet; cut out sugars, fats, and carbs. Trade soda for water and juice, add lots of fruits and vegetables into your diet. Examine your eating habits; don't eat impulsively, and don't eat unless you're hungry. Eat slowly, it can take several minutes for your brain to get the message that you're full, so if you eat slowly, you won't overeat. And exercise! Take the stairs instead of the elevator, jog or speed walk instead of just walking, park in the back of the parking lot, and start an exercise routine.
I went from 210lb to 173lb with really just 1 number.
You need to know your 0 weight loss or gain and make a small deficit from there.
People try and eat at too large of a deficit(resticitive diet and to quickly so it if they lose any weight they gain it back). They essentially are trying to shed big while their body is trying to hold on. You need to sneak up on your body. My experience has been (went from 210lb to 173lb) that eating barely under my 0 weight loss or gain number works best. I have seen it work better for others as well.
The ONLY and best site to get this number at is healthsidekick .
FYI all other sites are off when they tell you how much food you can eat and lose weight. This has been my experience.
Go the gym at least 4 days a week. Preferably 5. Burn at least 500 calories 3 of those days, and more on the last day or two if you can. On those days eat to a deficit of 500 calories--so, about 1500, so that your total calorie deficit is about 1000 a day. This will bump you down about 2lbs per week if you are only slightly overweight. Then, eat your normal diet of 1900-2000 calories at least one day per week - probably two. This is actually really necessary because it keeps your body from going into starvation mode and storing all your food intake as fat, even when you are eating at a deficit. In addition, do cardio exercise every other day. Also try, spin class, and push ups.
You cant. It is only healthy to lose a max. of 3-4lb a week.
No more than 20g carbs a day, no more than 1000 calories a day, lots of water, and be sure to burn more calories than you are taking in. It works.
To lose 15 pounds in 21 days one needs to eat a healthy diet. A low carb diet is a good way to lose unwanted weight and exercise is also important.
You can't lose 100 pounds in 15 minutes. It takes about 11 or 12 months to lose 100 pounds.
The best method for quickly shedding away 15 pounds is through exercise. The quickest weight you can shed is water weight, so by running and sweating away your extra fluids, you can loose some of those unwanted pounds within minutes.
