Loosen the tensioner pulley on your 2001 Chevy Impala. The serpentine belt will become loose. Take the old belt off and put the new belt on. Tighten the new serpentine belt with the tensioner pulley.
Put the serpentine belt around the pulleys on your 2001 Chrysler LHS. Tighten the serpentine belt by pushing the tensioner pulley to the left. Tighten down the tensioner pulley and the serpentine belt will be tight.

It has a serpentine belt with a built in tensioner. You can't tighten it. If it is loose, it needs replacing or the idler pulley is defective, or both.

Loosen the 2 bolts on back axle.... then turn the center carrier it is what is called a concentric and will tighten chain. BUT don't tighten to much
You should have 1 or more accessories with a slot. Loosen bolt on the one's with loose belt(s). Pry with a pry bar and tighten.
use a 15 mm box end wrench to loosen the bolt which runs through the center of the tensioner pulley - turn it counter-clockwise. next, use a 15 mm socket to loosen the tensioner bolt - again, turn counter clockwise to loosen. remove the belt and replace with new one. turn tenisoner bolt clockwise to tighten belt. tighten bolt through center of pulley. put some belt dressing on and you are good to go!
