Mostly the kitten will not have a complete steady heart beat. If it has had a few random bowel movements. If you can see it breathing some or hear it moan... there might be chance its still alive.. but if you can tell its almost completely dead, the best thing to do would be to either euthanize her/him or to find a way yourself to put it to rest with ease in a humane way.

∙ 13y agoUsually a puppy would stop breathing when it is dead. It would remain motionless for much, much longer than usual. It would also not respond to your calls.
