A diamond dove is classified by it's size, call, and markings. These doves are typically the size of a canary or budgie and, while they come in a variety of coloration you're most likely to see a blue-grey bird with white speckled wings. Generally, the beak is black with whitish nares. Around either eye will be a red orange ring. Their calls are soft and pleasant, ranging from coos to low shrills.

Well a dove can get along with almost any bird because it is not like a parrot who sees other birds as prey. You can put birds such as finches, canaries, parakiets, maybe even a cockatiel. I recemmend not to put it in with other birds because it will change their behavior and in some situations diffrent breeds of birds get so attached to each other they mate even if their not the same species.
