I found that simply by eating more and more at each meal, I started to crave a greater amount of food each time, so my recommendation is to just start eating a ton, and slowly work your way up. Also, if you are in a situation where you need to gain weight or just eat a lot of anything immediately, it's always easiest to eat a lot of what you love. So, if you like doughnuts, you could find it easy to eat 6 doughnuts, and it's the same with cake, and ice cream, and Pizza, and so on.

Appetite may be reduced for a number of reasons, whether it is due to stress, low feelings or a wide variety of emotional factors. So the first step would be to remove her from any of these situations. Prior to what most people might assume, simply having a lack of appetite or an unusual eating pattern is not an eating disorder, unless it's coupled with the emotional symptoms that the medical criteria states, such as a distorted body image or a fear of gaining weight etc.

If someone is not eating well due to unrelated things such as stress of exams, or bullying, then this is a disordered eating pattern that can be fixed with a meal plan of some kind.
